Man City are keen to beat Arsenal in the race to sign young midfielder. The player has already visited both clubs last month. He also has interest from Liverpool which suggests that he’s most likely to end at Premier League next season.

The star in question here is Sverre Nypan who plays for Rosenborg. He is 18 years old midfielder from Norway. Nypan has been with the first team since the 2022 season. He became regular player in 2023 season and 2024 season proved to be his breakout season.

Nypan scored 8 goals and picked 7 assists in 29 games last season. He was superb and impressed top clubs from whole Europe. Both, Arsenal and Man City showed interest to sign him in January transfer window.

Nypan travelled to England to visit both Man City and Arsenal. He held talks with both clubs and the 18 year old was said to make final decision soon. But, it was later reported that the player will stay at Rosenborg for now. He will join new club in summer transfer window.

Recently, Liverpool joined the race to sign Nypan. They were said to have upper hand over other interested clubs. But, they are yet to have talks with the player. Now, it is reported that City are keen to beat all clubs and land Nypan in summer.

Man City were said to have a plan ready for Nypan. They will send him on loan at Girona initially to develop him into world-class star. Then he will be brought back to England. On the other hand, Gunners will include him directly into first-team.
