Man City plotting £70 million bid to sign ‘exceptional’ Brazilian star

Man City are interested to sign highly-rated Brazilian player in the summer window. They are plotting a £70 million bid to secure his services over other clubs.

Pep Guardiola is planning for a busy summer window. He wants to part ways with many of the current players and replace them with new faces. One area which the Spanish boss is keen to improve is the midfield.

Rodri has missed almost all of this season due to injury. His absence has clearly affected the club. City have been knocked out of UCL and are currently struggling to secure UCL football for next season. This suggests that many changes will happen this summer.

Man City are likely to move on from Kevin De Bruyne this summer. Pep Guardiola wants to find a midfield partner for Rodri who can also step-up in absence of the Spaniard. He already has one player in sight whom he labelled ‘exceptional’ in past.

Man City plotting £70 million bid to sign Bruno Guimaraes

According to Football Fancast, Man City are planning to spend £70 million to secure the services of Guimaraes this summer. The Newcastle United captain is one of the best midfielders in the world right now and is looked upon by multiple clubs.

Firstly, the Brazilian midfielder is loved by City boss. The Spaniard called him an exceptional holding midfielder and hence this suggests the role Guimaraes will have at City. He will play as holding midfielder which will allow Rodri to get creative in upper part of pitch.

The Magpies are really happy with Guimaraes and the player is also happy with them. But, there were news that they can allow him to leave in summer if they fail to secure UCL football. As of now, Man City are also uncertain to play in UCL next season.

Guimaraes also has interest from multiple other top clubs. Hence, he can easily find a club playing in UCL. The Magpies have him tied with 3 more years of contract and hence will demand a hefty fee for sure.
