Man City are expected to make some key changes in their squad this summer. Many of their current players can depart the club. One of them is one of their best players in history Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian will leave a huge void after his move away from the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola is already eyeing up replacements for De Bruyne. One player who he has been heavily linked with is German attacker Florian Wirtz. He is 21 years old and currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen.
Wirtz is one of the best young players in the world right now. He is regular starter for both his club and country. He came up through Leverkusen academy and helped them to win their first ever Bundesliga title last season.
Wirtz ended last season with 18 goals and 19 assists. He was heavily looked upon by multiple top club across whole Europe. But, the 21 year old stayed at Leverkusen and has once again been superb. He has so far scored 15 goals along with 12 assists this season.
Wirtz is now said to finally wave goodbye to Leverkusen in summer. Man City are prepared to spend big on him. But, they have now hit by a major blow in the pursuit. The player is willing to join his German rivals instead of other clubs.

According to El nacional Cat, Wirtz is set to reject the offer of joining Man City. Instead he is planning to join Bayern Munich. This will come as a major blow for the Sky Blues. In contrast, Bayern can now speed-up their signing process.
Wirtz will surely cost more than €100 million. It can rise much more than that but Bayern can still afford him. They are set to part ways with many of their current stars which will help in raising funds. In addition, their spot in UCL for next season is already secured unlike Man City.
