Man United have managed to sign one of England’s most gifted teenage prospects, Emmanuel Ziro. They have beaten after the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in that competition. The Red Devils’ first squad has recently struggled, with the club presently 13th in the Premier League.
In their last game they suffered a humiliating 3-2 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening. It was also Ruben Amorim’s second consecutive setback. As his first loss came against the Gunners last week.
However, Manchester United’s Under-18s side has given them great promise for the future. They have managed to overcome all the obstacles that they have faced so far. While also having a clean one hundred percent record from their ten games played thus far.
Emmanuel Ziro joins the United youth academy
There’s no doubt that the United academy is filled with emerging talent and potential. Matter of fact, Ruben Amorim is a firm believer in youth development. And this could help United save a small fortune on the transfer market in the coming years. As some of their young talents could live up to their potential. The Red Devils already have the likes of Garnacho, Amad and Mainoo who have came through the ranks of the academy.
And now they have added another significant talent to their squad. With the signing of Emmanuel Ziro, who comes to Manchester from London. And after joining United, the 16-year-old couldn’t contain his excitement. He has already revealed that he is a long-time United fan. Ziro said through Instagram,
“Firstly, I would like to thank my family for all their love, support and encouragement throughout the years. For as long as I can remember I’ve had a ball at my feet and enjoy the game of football. I now have the opportunity to continue doing that at the biggest club in the world, as well as the team I support.”
Author’s opinion:
Football.Express says, it is a great deal for both the club and the player. The addition of Emmanuel Ziro will definitely help the academy to win the silverware. And Ziro can also perform for a top club at such young age. And if the 16 y/o manages to impress Amorim, we could also see him in the first team-squad.
