Man United considering to bring in the Milan captain

Manchester United could sign one of AC Milan‘s best player Theo Hernandez next summer, according to the sources of ManUtdNews. The Red Devils fortunes have not been on their side since the international break.

The new manager Ruben Amorim had a good start with two victories and one tie across all competitions in his first three games. But after that they faced back to back defeats in the league last week. And after this setbacks Amorim has already seen the need for future upgrades.

Amorim’s 3-4-3 system is heavily dependent on the wing-back’s. And to change things at the club, he has set his sights on a new left wing-back. Their current natural left back Luke Shaw is very injury prone and the club is slowly loosing their trust on the Englishman. That is why the United management is monitoring Theo Hernandez to replace him with Shaw.

Theo Hernandez to leave AC Milan next summer

Milan may be obliged to consider the exit of Theo Hernandez if he does not renew soon. They are set to demand £41 million to trade Hernandez next summer, despite the fact that his contract expires in June 2026. United, along with Bayern Munich, and even his former club Real Madrid are among parties who wants the Frenchman.

Theo Hernandez is originally a left-back who has made over 300 games in that position throughout his career. However, the 27-year-old has also performed well as a central defender for the Rossoneri this season. The Frenchman has flourished due to his all-around abilities, which complement the left wing-back position.

He is a very aggressive fullback who scored 16 goals last season. And Hernandez also added four more to his tally this season. Theo Hernandez has a passing accuracy of 90% in Serie A this season and has won 63% of his duels.

Author’s opinion :

United management is eager to bring him to Old Trafford, but it remains to be seen whether Amorim will agree. The 27-year-old is in the peak of his career. United will most likely seek to reduce the initial transfer cost by introducing performance-based add-ons. However the rumored departure of some players from Old Trafford could help them do that.
