Marcus Rashford is one of several Manchester United players up for sale in the upcoming transfer windows. As the owners- INEOS are attempting to collect funds to reinvest in the squad. United were said to be open to proposals for their ace forward Rashford in the summer.
However, no suitors were interested in signing him. That situation is unlikely to change. Unless the 27 year-old forward significantly improves under new head coach Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils do not have the finances to spend much in January unless they make sales. And Rashford, who is a academy graduate, is an obvious possibility. Because his possible departure would bring them pure profit.
The future of Marcus Rashford at Manchester is in danger
Rashford has scored three goals in five games since Amorim’s arrival. During this short period of time he played both as a striker and also as a number 10. The new manager has shown his full support to the 27 y/o. However he also advised Rashford that he must be hungry for it if he wants to regain his best form at United.
Rashford’s form has declined since his career-high 30-goal performance in Erik ten Hag’s debut season. And he has now also lost his position in the Three Lions squad. Amorim said that he’ll try to do his best to aid Rashford. But everything will be depending on the player himself.
However, the big question is who will like to buy the 27 year old Marcus Rashford. Sky Sports journalist Paul Merson has stated,
“If they are trying to get rid of him, his wages carry so much, it’s unreal. If you’re PSG or someone, why aren’t you trying to get the player Man Utd are trying to get instead of him? I don’t see how they are going to get rid of him with those wages, and they won’t get £60m, £70m, £80m for him.”
Author’s Opinion:
Though the Red Devils will definitely like to earn more than £50-60 million by selling the Marcus Rashford. But why would top clubs will pay that much for him instead of buying the player that United wants to replace the Englishman with.
