Man United Eye PSG’s Lee Kang-in Amid Contract Standstill

Man Utd are working to secure the signing of Lee Kang-in from PSG after he turned down a new contract.

Red Devils Target Lee Kang-in as Creative Boost

Manchester United have stepped up their summer transfer business with a new target in sight. They are monitoring PSG‘s young talent Lee Kang-in. According to reports, Utd are looking to capitalize on Lee’s contract rejection at the French club.

The 23 year old South Korean has made a case in Paris scoring six goals and assisting six goals in 45 appearances across all competitions. With his deal talks at PSG reportedly breaking down, Utd’s technical director Jason Wilcox has wasted no time and already made a move. The club will likely be reaching out to Lee’s agents.

Lee’s ability to play all across the frontline, makes him a great player for Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford.

Competition for Lee Builds as United Finalize Other Deals

While Red Devils are pushing for Lee, they face stiff competition from top clubs including Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Arsenal, and Newcastle. Atletico, in particular, have long admired the talented playmaker. Meanwhile, Napoli are seriously chasing him to pair with veteran Kevin De Bruyne.

Nevertheless, Amorim’s side remain optimistic in their search, especially having completed a deal with Wolves striker Matheus Cunha. Utd have agreed personal terms with Cunha, and will exercise the £62.5m release clause. The payment are to be made in installments.

Amorim’s rebuild is well underway as he looks for more attacking power after a poor season. This campaign saw them finish 15th and fall short in Europe.

Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo is another option as well. But, Lee remains a key target for adding flair and creativity to their final third. Whether Utd land the PSG star or not, one thing is clear, they’re not sitting still this summer.
