Man United may very well get their hands on a ‘world-class’ free agent who might be leaving his team.
Adrien Rabiot is a free agent as of now after his contract with Juventus expired. As per reports and rumors, the French footballer is unlikely to sign a contract with Juventus. Further journalist Fabrizio Romano links him to Man United and a move might be a possibility.
Amid rumors, many have claimed Manchester United to be his destination. It is also believed that the North-West Ham club is also ‘pushing hard’ to sign the midfielder this summer.
Although continuing with Juventus might not be out of the call, according to Romano, Rabiot is not interested in signing a new deal with the side and is looking to move out.

Rabiot ‘unlikely’ to stay – Romano
Arriving in Turin from his childhood club Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, the Frenchman has enjoyed quite a successful run with the old lady. Rabiot made a total of 212 appearances winning a Serie A title and the Domestic Cup three times in the process. Last season too, the ‘world-class’ player as described by Juve and France legend David Trezeguet made 35 appearances.
Regardless, at this stage of his career, Rabiot might feel like he needs to secure a good contract. Knowing very well that this could be his final big contract, could influence his move away from Juventus. Although it is unknown at the moment if the Old Lady could give an offer worth considering.
However considering the sources and the money Man United has and can offer, Rabiot might find it home at Old Trafford.
When asked about the probability of this free agent arriving at Man United, journalist Fabrizio Romano said to GIVEMESPORT:
“Let’s see if some other clubs will try to enter the race. Because as of now, Rabiot is still not extending his contract at Juventus, so it could be a big opportunity.
“At the moment, I’m not aware of anything advanced or in concrete stages yet, but in general, I think for many clubs, it could be a big possibility, because, as I mentioned at the moment, it looks unlikely for him to stay at Juventus and sign the deal.”
For sure, Erik ten Hag will look to grab this free agent opportunity. The Red Devils will be looking to improve this season after one of the worst seasons in their history of the Premier League. With Casemiro anticipated to leave, Rabiot can be looked at as a cost-effective replacement for the Brazilian. Further, the 29-year-old could very well fulfill the role of Casemiro in the side.
United ever close to signing Matthijs de Ligt
Man United seems increasingly confident in signing a deal with Matthijs de Ligt. Romano reports that the center-back will be leaving Bayern Munich to arrive at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag will be looking to strengthen their squad before the upcoming season. Following the departure of Raphael Varane, signing the Dutch footballer is key for the Red Devils. This will be seen as a major step forward this season.
Furthermore, De Ligt and Ten Hag have worked together before during their time at Ajax.
All in all Man United will be looking to bag De Ligt and Rabiot this summer.
