Man United are set to part ways with many players this summer. They are having a tough season and hence some big names will be seen moving away. Ruben Amorim will be backed to bring in players of his choice. The Portugese has already identifed positions in which he will want new additions.
As of now, the Red Devils will need to sign some new midfielders. Firstly, both Casemiro and Eriksen will be sold by them this summer. In addition, there are doubts about the long-term future of Kobbie Mainoo. Hence, one or two new faces are expected in the midfield.
Man United to face competition from PSG for Napoli midfielder
The Red Devils are keeping tabs on Stanislav Lobotka ahead of the summer window. According to Tutto Mercato, they will face competition from PSG this summer. In addition, the report states that Barcelona are also showing interest. Lastly, as per the report Napoli rate Lobotka at around £34 million.
Lobotka is 30 years old but still has some years to offer at top level. He can play as both central and holding midfielder. He has played 32 games for Napoli this season and has also registered 2 assists. At Old Trafford, Lobotka can bring in the much needed experience.
Along with Lobotka, the Red Devils are also monitoring many other midfielders. Firstly, they will try to convince their academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo to stay. Mainoo is demanding a lucrative contract which will make him one of the club’s highest earners. But, United are not in a very good financial state right now. Hence, they may be forced to part ways with him.
