Man United join Arsenal and Chelsea in race for Argentine talent

Currently a lot of football clubs always monitor highly rated youngsters. Such an player with very bright future ahead is present at River Plate. Man United have became the latest club to join the race for Franco Mastantuono. The 17 year old is already looked upon by Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Franco Mastantuono is 17 years old Argentine player who mainly plays as an attacking midfielder. He is rated very highly and has market value of €13 million as per Transfermarkt. This year, Franco has claimed his spot as regular player for River Plate.

The 17 year old has played 33 matches so far this year. He has been able to score 3 goals along with picking 2 assists. It seems like it is not long away, when we will see him joining any if the top club across whole Europe.

United join the race for Mastantuono

Earlier, Franco was being chased by Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid. Now United have also joined the race in order to improve their squad and secure their future as per ESPN Argentina. The reports also say that Red Devils may make a move as early as in January.

United have the slim chances when compared to their competitors to sign Franco. They are having a hard time right now and may miss European football. But, Red Devils have already shown they can convince the youngsters to join them.

United snubbed Madrid and hijacked their plan to sign Leny Yoro this summer. Their fans will hope similar kind of activity for Argentine sensation next year. River Plate can demand fee of around €45 million to part ways with their young superstar.

On the other hand, Gunners are keen to find a backup for Martin Odegaard. Chelsea are always interested to improve their squad and sign young superstars. Madrid too have similar intentions as they trust South American stars very highly.
