Man United leading race for Cameroon international

Man United are showing strong interest in Cameroon international. The player was in superb form in the recent season. He is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur but the Red Devils are still leading the race.

Manchester United are very busy in the summer transfer window. They are determined to improve their attacking unit. Firstly, they have signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves. They have paid £62.5 million for the Brazilian attacker.

United are now keen to sign another Premier League attacker. He is Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford. He is 25 years old and had a very good season recently. The Cameroon international scored 20 goals and picked 7 assists in Premier League.

United submitted an offer of £45 million + £10 milion for Mbeumo. But, Brentford have rejected it. They are demanding £60 million and the Red Devils are expected to submit another bid. Amidst this, Spurs have now joined the race to sign Mbeumo.

Man United still leading the race for Mbeumo

Spurs have parted ways with Ange Postecoglou. They are now closing in on Thomas Frank as new manager. Hence, they are hoping to use this chance to convince Mbeumo. But, United are still believed to be leading the race.

“Spurs, like other clubs, know of Bryan Mbeumo’s choice to join Man United. While you can never say never, it’s not expected that the expected arrival of Thomas Frank will influence it” – Ben Jacobs on The United Stand.

Mbeumo has already agreed personal terms with United. He used to earn £50,000 per month at Brentford. The player is now expected to earn £250,000 per week at Man United. He will put pen to the paper on 5 year deal. The only thing left for the deal to be completed is the agreement between clubs. Brentford are unwilling to lower their transfer fee demands.
