Man United Legend slams Erik Ten Hag’s strategic choices

Manchester United faced a shocking defeat at home in Premier League. They lost by 3 goals versus Liverpool. Many of the United players were criticized by fans. Same was the case with club manager. However, United board backed Erik Ten Hag. They said that they trust the manager and he is the right man for the job. However, one United legend does not agree with this at all. In addition, he even made some bold statements about Ten Hag.

Man United legend Peter Schmeichel went hard on Ten Hag. He asked some tough questions about the tactics. He also made some bold statements about the manager and the board. Schmeichel was really upset after the loss and even said that he could have cried.

Firstly, Schmeichel asked why Ten Hag did not gave chance to Ethan Wheatley. He said United were already 3-0 down. Ten Hag took Zirkzee off in the last 10 minutes. Peter said Ten Hag should have given chance to Wheatley who scored a lot of goals at the youth stage.

Later Schmeichel said that he is unable to see what is the plan of Ten Hag. He said United changed a lot since Erik Ten Hag became the manager. Despite a lot og changes and providing the manager with his preferred players, United have not been able to reach the expected levels.

Lastly, Schmeichel said that United board should have sacked Ten Hag after their loss against Crystal Palace last season. United lost by 4 goals to none versus Crystal Palace. Later, the United icon said that he sat with Sir Alex Ferguson to watch the match against Liverpool. He said it was very sad to witness the defeat.
