United are set to make some key changes this summer. They are having a tough season which suggests many current players will leave the club. Ruben Amorim will be backed to bring in players of his choice. The Portugese has already identified areas in which he will want new faces.

The Red Devils are very likely to rebuild their attacking unit. They will surely sign a striker along with a wide forward. In order to raise funds they are ready to part ways with both strikers – Hojlund and Zirkzee. In addition, Rashford, Sancho and Antony will also see a permanent exit.

Man United planning swap deal with Italian club

According to The Mirror, United are plotting a swap deal with Atalanta. If this deal goes through, Hojlund and Ademola Lookman will swap shirts. The Red Devils will surely have to pay some extra in addition to Hojlund in order to welcome Lookman to the Theatre of Dreams.

Hojlund joined United from Atalanta in summer 2023 as a promising youngster. But, he has failed to establish himself as a key player. As a result, the Red Devils are ready to part ways with him this summer. As of now, a return to Italy seems like the best outcome for 22 year old.

On the other hand, Lookman has been superb for Atalanta since joining. He was voted the best African player last year. Since joining Atalanta, he has scored 50 goals and picked 21 assists in just 115 games.

Lookman has fallen out of favour of Atalanta boss. He has made it clear that he will leave the club at the end of the season. United are joined by multiple clubs in the race to sign the Nigerian star. It will be interesting to see if a return to English soil is possible for him this summer.
