Man United player ratings against Viktoria Plzen

Another mistake by the goalkeeper put the Red Devils under pressure midweek. Until the striker came to the team’s rescue. Rasmus Hojlund scored twice to guide Man United to their first away win in Europe in 20 months. As they defeated Viktoria Plzen 2-1 to move into the Europa League’s top eight.

Ruben Amorim’s team struggled in the first half and had a disastrous start in the second. As the gloves man Andre Onana gave the hosts a wonderful chance with a misjudged ball. And Pavel Sulc took full advantage of the situation which was converted by Matej Vydra.

However, the coach made swift decisions on the sidelines, and his substitutions helped the team win the game. Following a determined drive down the right by Amad Diallo, Hojlund scored the equalizer. And the Dane then won the three points with a wise free-kick move with Bruno Fernandes.

However, despite of the two goals, stats say he wasn’t the best performer on the pitch. As the Red Devils captain Bruno Fernandes was the standout performer. The Portuguese who was considered one of United’s main players, did not disappoint.

Fernandes gave his help with the build-up and with 111 touches. Which was the second-highest player on the United squad as per the reports of Goal. Lisandro Martinez was the only one with more (112). He was the target of most of United’s attacks. The record of seven pivotal passes set by the Portuguese was not surpassed by anyone. He also created the most significant opportunities in the game.
