Man United sent scouts in Germany for the Egyptian sensation

Manchester United scouts were in Denmark last week to observe Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush. The 25 y/o star scored the winner for the Bundesliga side from the penalty spot in their 2-1 victory over FC Midtjylland.

His performances so far this season has prompted new United manager Ruben Amorim to send his team to investigate. Tottenham, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain all had scouts in attendance on that night.

After being the victim of two rejected bids from the Forests earlier this summer, Marmoush is on top form. The striker now has 15 goals in all competitions this season, including 11 assists, thanks to the goal. As per the reports of the Mirror, the 25 y/o is also admired by Liverpool. The Reds are fascinated by the international teammate of Mohammed Salah and wants to bring him in.

Amorim sets his eyes on Omar Marmoush

United forwards are suffering from a crisis situation since the start of the season. New signing Joshua Zirkzee has failed to live up to the expectations so far and has only managed to score once in 18 games. On the other hand, first choice striker Rasmus Hojlund is yet to find his touch since returning from the injury.

New manager Ruben Amorim’s system is based on scoring goals. So, the forwards play a vital role in it. And a lack of a goal scorer like Viktor Gyokeres whom he had at Sporting will definitely cause some problems.

That is why United are taking a serious interest in Omar Marmoush. It is rumored that Zirkzee will be sent on loan in the January transfer window so that they can bring in someone like the 25 y/o striker. However, Frankfurt hopes that he will stay until at least the end of the season.

Over the last 12 months, Marmoush’s market worth has increased significantly. The German side will take full advantage of that and may ask for about £60 million for Omar Marmoush. And it expected that they will even get the desired amount. As interests from several parties will cause a bidding war for the Egyptian.

Author’s opinion :

Football Express says, the addition of Omar Marmoush to the squad will definitely strengthen up the side. The 25 y/o is a very versatile forward. Apart from his goal scoring abilities he also sets up his teammates. Omar’s link up play is also good. He is like the upgraded version of Joshua Zirkzee with better finishing abilities.
