Man United are showing strong interest in German defender. They are surely going to sign some centre-backs after a tough season. The German star is very close to leave his current club.

The Red Devils are having a very tough season right now. They are in the semi-finals of Europa League but the situation is not the same in Premier League. They are sitting on 14th position in the points table and are set to lose European football next season unless they win Europa League.

According to Sky Sports, United are showing strong interest in Jonathan Tah. They view the German defender as a perfect fit to lead the backline. Tah is set to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer. He will be out of contract and hence United can sign him for free.

Tah is 29 years old and has some more years to offer at top level. He has been main player for Leverkusen since 2015/16 season. Last season, he played a major role in making them Bundesliga champions for the first time. He has also helped the team in attacking along with brilliant defending.

Tah has also been a regular player for Germany national team. He has played for his country on 35 occasions. The 29 year old will surely be a great addition for the United team. As of now, he can start above any of the United defenders.
