Man United star linked with shock move to arch-rivals

One Man United star is linked with a shock move to their arch rivals. The player is already away from Old Trafford on loan. He is unlikely to have future with the Red Devils again.

The star in question here is Marcus Rashford. He has came up through United’s academy. Rashford is United’s one of the brightest talents and has played big role for them on multiple occasions. But, he started to fall down the pecking order since last season.

This season, Rashford failed completely to impress at Old Trafford. Hence, he has been sent on loan to Aston Villa. The 27 year old is now injured and is headed back to United for medical tests. But, he is unlikely to have a future at Old Trafford.

Aston Villa have an option to buy United on permanent basis this summer. This will need them to pay £40 million to the Red Devils. But, Rashford is unwilling to continue at Aston Villa as they are unlikely to qualify for UCL.

Marcus Rashford to join the arch rivals of Man United?

According to Daily Mail via Caught Offside, Rashford agent was seen at The Etihad. In addition, the 27 year old’s brother was also spotted which has sparked the rumours of Rashford joining Man City. The Sky Blues are in need of a wide forward and hence can move for the Englishman.

Man United fans will not like to hear this news at all. What makes it even worse for them is Rashford has been with United since a very young age. Although these are just rumours, anything can happen in football. Over the time, there have been multiple shocking transfers.

At the moment, Aston Villa are still keen to sign Rashford permanently. But, the 27 year old is said to be willing to join Barcelona. It will be interesting to see which jersey the 27 year old wears in the next season.
