Man United target Christopher Nkunku for a potential January move

According to the reports of French media outlet L’equipe, Man United are considering to bring Chelsea star forward Christopher Nkunku into their side. As the Red Devils have been facing some serious goal scoring problems since the start of the season. And they need a prolific goal scorer to overcome from that hurdle.

Nkunku has been doing well so far for the Blues this season. Though he is yet to be a starter for Chelsea in the Premier League. But in the Conference League and Carabao cup games the 26-year-old has been the best player for Chelsea. Across all competitions this season, Christopher Nkunku has already scored 10 goals. But only one of those came in the league.

Christopher Nkunku to leave Chelsea for United?

At Chelsea, the competition is very hard to become a regular first choice forward. As they have many hugely talented and well known strikers and wingers at their side. Despite of scoring handful number of goals, the Frenchman is finding it very much hard to become the first-choice striker ahead of Nicolas Jackson.

So, at some moment the thought of leaving might pass the mind of the 26-year-old forward. On the other hand, if United really pushes for the deal then, we may see Nkunku at the Old Trafford. As every player wants to play for a prestigious club like Manchester United.

The competition there isn’t also that easy. But the Red Devils strikers- Hojlund and Zirkzee have failed to utilize their strengths so far. And if Christopher Nkunku continues his current form at United then he would definitely surpass both of them. More over, the Frenchman can also compete for the flanks as he is originally a left winger.

Christopher Nkunku is currently valued at around £56 million. Even if the deal with the 26-year-old doesn’t take place, United will be in the market for a new striker.
