Man United target to cost more than £80 million this summer

Man United are keen to sign an English midfielder this summer. They are joined by Man City and Liverpool in the race. The player’s current club have now made it clear that it will require more than £80 million to sign him.

Man United will enter the summer market with an aim of signing midfielder. They are very likely to part ways with Christian Eriksen and Casemiro. The Brazilian has recently shown huge improvement in his form, but he still finds his future unclear at Old Trafford.

In addition, the future of Kobbie Mainoo is still not secure. The United academy graduate is demanding hefty wages to sign new contract. Hence, Ruben Amorim wants a new midfielder and will be backed by the board. The Red Devils will target young stars who fit perfectly in Amorim’s system.

On the other hand, Man City are having a season below their expectations. Pep Guardiola wants a summer overhaul. He is aware about how City have struggled without Rodri. In addition, all De Bruyne, Gundogan and Kovacic are linked with exit. This makes midfield signing a top priority this summer.

Lastly, Liverpool have a very good midfield depth. But, they are still keen to add another player. They wanted to sign Martin Zubimendi but have failed to do so. Now, all Liverpool, United and City have one common target on their radar.

The star in question here is Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace. All United, Liverpool and City are keen to sign him this summer. According to TEAMtalk, Crystal Palace will be open to sell Wharton but will only consider offers above £80 million.

Wharton is only 21 years old but has proved himself in Premier League. This season, he has played 25 games and has picked 2 assists. He has helped Palace to reach the FA Cup final. The Englishman has also made his debut for the England national team at such an young age.
