Man United’s injury crises eases: Two players return to training

Manchester United had a very good week after the end of international break. They have won two consecutive matches. Red Devils have scored 10 goals since the resume of club football and are looking sharp. The good news keep on coming for United fans as Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount are now back to training.

Hojlund and Mount back to first team training with the United squad

Hojlund and Mount were seen training with the first team squad at Carrington. The duo is expected to be back in action very soon. Red Devils have also announced their return on the official Man United website.

Hojlund has not yet played any match this season. He was looking very good in the pre-season as he found the back of the net against Arsenal. But, he picked up a hamstring injury which made him unavailable for official matches.

Hojlund had the best goalscoring season of his carrer last term. In addition, he was the top scorer for United with 16 goals across all competitions. 10 of those came in Premier League, 1 in FA Cup and 5 came in UEFA Champions League. Joshua Zirkzee is currently starting for United in Hojlund’s place and has scored 1 goal in 4 league matches.

Unlike Hojlund, Mount has already played for United this season. He played two league games and was also in the starting lineup against Manchester City in the Community Shield clash. He also picked up a hamstring injury while playing against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Mason Mount has been injury prone since joining United last year. He was only able to make 14 league appearances in the 2023/24 season.

United will now face Crystal Palace in an away fixture on saturday. They will like to win three games in a row and climb up the Premier League points table.
