United Eye Bryan Mbeumo After Cunha Deal

Manchester United are getting right down to it in the transfer market. They have identified yet another Premier League forward after their agreement to buy Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

According to talkSPORT, Utd are in talks for a move for Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford. He is a fast, skillful and goal-scoring right-wing forward. He has had an great 2024/25 season with 20 goals and eight assists across 38 PL appearances. Mbeumo’s style has been compared to Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and he has the eye of Utd manager Ruben Amorim. The head coach is looking to bolster his attacking options in the wake of a 15th-placed finish in the Premier League. That is despite the club making the Europa League final.

Mbeumo Keen on Red Devils Move Despite European Setback

TEAMtalk reports that Utd are serious about signing Mbeumo this June. In addition, the player himself is open to joining the club. Sources suggest that the Bees’ winger likes the idea of playing under Amorim at Old Trafford. He admires the manager’s forward-thinking tactics and Utd’s global status.

Newcastle is also a contender in the race and perhaps have an advantage in the fight to sign Mbeumo due to them playing in the Champions League. Brentford manager Thomas Frank has suggested Mbeumo could leave this summer if the right offers comes in. The player is with a £50 million price tag.

Nevertheless, United may need to act fast to secure his signature. Though they missed out on European football next season. But, the Red Devils hope their ambitious summer plans can convince Mbeumo to be part of their revival.
