Man Utd in for Christian Eriksen?

The summer market is in full swing and we have several players who’ve been linked with a move. Man Utd is a club that is heavily speculated with players, especially during the transfer windows. A new signing is yet to arrive at Ten Hag’s young tenure at old Trafford. With the number of players leaving this season, the anticipation about the first transfer is growing with every passing moment. One option Man Utd is actively pursuing is former Ajax star, Christian Eriksen.

Man Utd and its circling speculation

Eriksen will be available for free as his short-term contract at Brentford expires by this month. Reputed journalist David Ornstein has also confirmed that the club is actively pursuing the Danish playmaker and have tabled an offer for him. Eriksen’s epic comeback in the 2021-22 season has seen him linked with several clubs which also include former employer Tottenham.
Eriksen has recently expressed his desire to play in the Champions League again but also conceded that isn’t essential. Brentford is far from the reach of the Champions League and may lose the player. Man Utd certainly holds an edge here but with a major squad rebuilding challenge upfront, it’s difficult to say anything.

Man Utd is also monitoring Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves situation. The chances of Neves departing Molineux are very high as Joao Paulinho’s arrival can be confirmed by the club anytime. Man Utd aren’t alone in the race to sign the 25-year-old and if the transfer happens, he won’t be coming cheap.
Ten Hag has also plans to bolster his defense, De Ligt from Juventus is the top priority by Man Utd. The red devils missed out on the former Ajax captain back in 2019. The Dutch defender’s contract will be up by 2024 and the talks are undergoing between the clubs he’s yet to commit his future.
Since Ten Hag arrived at the club, he has been linked with a lot of his former players and one of them is Anthony. The Brazilian has impressed in his two seasons under Ten Hag and the red devils may be ready to make the Brazilian their top target.
