As per reports, Juventus are tracking Man Utd’s Rasmus Hojlund for a summer move in June.
Juventus Showing Interest in Struggling Rasmus Hojlund
Juventus have initiated contact with Manchester United to land Rasmus Hojlund this summer, as per reports. Just two years ago, he came at Old Trafford for big-money move from Atalanta. The talks suggest a major change in plans for the £72m striker. Reportedly, the Italian side are willing to do everything to sign the player.
The Danish striker has had a rough second season at Old Trafford. He has managed only four goals in 29 league games so far. His poor form has mirrored Utd’s overall attacking struggles. The team has hit a record-low finish in the Premier League.
New boss Ruben Amorim, who arrived in November, is eyeing a reshuffle up top. He wants a fresh No. 9 for the next campaign. The Serie A side, meanwhile, are planning ahead for Dusan Vlahovic’s potential exit. They want Hojlund as a long-term replacement. The Italian giants are likely pushing for a quick deal to fend off competition from clubs interested in the 22-year-old.
The Dane Faces Exit as Amorim Puts Faith in Zirkzee
Rasmus isn’t the only striker under the spotlight. Joshua Zirkzee, who joined from Bologna last year, has turned things around after a tough start. Initially, he was used as a frontman under Erik ten Hag. But, Zirkzee struggled to adapt. Although, since Amorim’s arrival, he has been more productive in a deeper attacking role.
The Dutch striker has displayed his abilities over the last few matches. Especially, in their 3-0 win against Athletic Club. That has also helped him win back support from the fans.
Amorim now sees Joshua as a more realistic long-term player. With Juve pressing for Hojlund and Utd keen on refreshing the squad, a summer exit for the Dane seems more likely. However, he can deliver big in the final games of the season.
