Man Utd Want £60m Bryan Mbeumo as Summer Deal

Brentford’s star Bryan Mbeumo is reported to be one of Manchester United’s first-choice players this summer.

Bryan Mbeumo in the Spotlight as Utd Plan Summer Moves

As per reports, Manchester United will pursue Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo this summer. Additionally, they making moves for Wolves‘ striker Matheus Cunha too.

According to Telegraph Sports, Mbeumo is a strong target for Amorim. The player has flexibility and creativity to attack in wide areas. That is something Utd have lacked in recent months. The forward has been superb with 18 goals this campaign. That is three more goals than Cunha. Although, the Brazilian plays primarily as a central striker.

The Cameroon international provides a front line flexibility that Amorim is looking for. The Bees’ boss Thomas Frank is already hinting at the possibility of the player to leave. So, the Red Devils are watching closely.

Utd Could Sell Big Names to Fund the Move

Bryan Mbeumo has a £60 million price tag. And Cunha has a release clause of £62.5 million. That means Utd may need to cash in on a few names to fund their transfer spree. It is possible for Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony, to be sold to raise some funds and revenue.

The injuries suffered by attacking players Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo exposed the lack of depth of the squad. It was likely the reason why Amorim went with 4 attacking options as replacements. Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo, and Scott Hogan all contributed at least 2 of the goals United suffered last weekend.

Bryan has already proven his quality last weekend as Brentford edged United 4-3. He joined Brentford in 2019 from Troyes. He has played a fundamental role in the development of Brentford as a team. His energy, pace, and goalscoring ability could provide the spark at Old Trafford.

United Fans will want that going into next season as their side looks to build a stronger campaign.
