Manchester City make Sassuolo’s midfielder Manuel Locatelli their top transfer target according to the latest report from England.
According to a report from the Mail, Manchester City have ‘shortlisted’ Italian International midfielder Manuel Locatelli ahead of a potential move in the upcoming summer transfer window.
It is claimed by journalist Adrian Kajumba that Manchester City are ‘keeping tabs’ on the 23-year-old who ‘features prominently’ on the Etihad club’s list of transfer targets.
Locatelli, whose contract runs until 2023 and is expected to cost at least £30 million is also being monitored by Serie A giants Juventus.
In recent time Manchester City are also linked with other central-midfielder likes of Borussia Monchengladbach’s versatile midfielder Denis ZakariA and also AC Milan’s Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer. As the potential replacement for 35-year-old Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho.

Former AC Milan player Manuel Locatelli made his Serie A debut in Rossoneri shirt in the 15/16 season. The Italian technically gifted midfielder played 48 Serie A games for Milan.
However, after falling down the pecking order overtime at San Siro, the midfielder moved to Sassuolo in 2018 and has since flourished.
He was sold to Sassuolo in 2019 for €10 million after spending one season loan. Since then he has made 78 Serie A appearances for Neroverdi.
Locatelli has played 16 matches this season in Serie A, scored twice, and also made an assist. He came on to the limelight last season where he showed his quality and also he has been instrumental to the Sassuolo side under Roberto De Zerbi.
He made his international debut for Italy senior team on 7 September 2020, playing as a starter in the UEFA Nations League match won 1–0 against the Netherlands in Amsterdam. Locatelli total played 6 times for Gli Azzurri.
