Manchester City star’s astonishment at Messi’s performance against Mexico

Messi

Last Saturday, Argentina faced a must-win game against Mexico. Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain came to the team’s rescue, scoring a goal and giving an assist in the 2-0 victory. The 35-year-old stood up when the South American country most needed him, and his performance astounded Manchester City player and England international Jack Grealish.

In a talkSPORT interview, Grealish mentioned that he is watching every 2022 FIFA World Cup game before highlighting Messi’s performance from last Saturday. Grealish said

“I watch all the games to be honest, We have screens all over the place and it’s just nice to have games on all day. I watched Messi, unbelievable. He just showed what he’s about in that second half but then again so did Mbappe.”

After falling to Saudi Arabia 2-1 in their opening encounter, Argentina and Messi are still in trouble. On Wednesday, the Albiceleste will play Poland, and if they lose, they will be eliminated from the group stage. Furthermore, a tie wouldn’t be ideal because a second-place result pits them against France, who ousted Messi and company in the World Cup’s Round of 16 stages.

World Cup Highlights for Jack Grealish

England’s opening Group B game of the Qatar 2022 World Cup saw city striker Jack Grealish score as he made his World Cup debut, helping England defeat Iran 6-2. It was the City star’s most recent unforgettable experience after winning his first medal with the Club during his rookie year. The Premier League will not resume until after Christmas as City pursues a third straight championship due to the World Cup.

Grealish has already made an impact, as City has won each of the eight Premier League games in which he has played thus far this year. His greatest performance came against Wolves when his goal in the second minute gave Pep Guardiola’s team a 3-0 victory at Molineux. However, he might wish to forget Nathan Collins’ brutal challenge that led to Collins’ dismissal.

Grealish also contributed to our 6-3 derby victory over Manchester United and our victory over Group G in the Champions League, which guaranteed our passage into the knockout rounds.
