Manchester United beat West Ham United after extra time by 1-0 in a dull encounter in F.A Cup 5th round at Old Trafford.
Substitute Scott McTominay was the only scorer in this game at the 97th minute in extra time. Manchester United were very slow and looked sluggish in front of the goal.
It was a very disappointing performance from West Ham who are fifth in the Premier League table and they could not put Dean Henderson in any trouble.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær shuffled to his side as Donny Van De Beek started and Bruno Fernandes was rested. Anthony Martial started in the centre forward position.
Dean Henderson started in goal and Alex Telles started in left-back in place of Luke Shaw. The new signing Amad Diallo was on the bench for the first time.
The Hammers made few changes and went with the strong side. Andriy Yarmolenko started in a centre forward position and Jesse Lingard could not be involved as he is on loan from United.

Manchester United dominated the possession and they tried to break the Hammers stubborn defence was the pattern of the game but they were too slow in the build-up play and they didn’t have many clear chances.
United came closest from breaking the deadlock when Telles’ corner was headed toward the goal by Victor Lindelof but his effort deflected and it took the pace of the ball and Lukasz Fabianski brilliantly saved the attempt and it went wide of the post.
In the second half, Manchester United got even worse; they could not play their game and West Ham United tried to counter-attack.
Marcus Rashford got the best chance of the game but he took too long and in the end his shot was saved by hammers’ keeper.
Manchester United broke through the stubborn West Ham defence in extra time from a trademark counter-attack and a great finish from McTominay off his instep of the right foot.
At the end of the game, Martial had a great opportunity to score second but his poor finishing in front of the goal continued.
West Ham United could not threaten United defence at all and overall in 120 minutes of the game they were unable to manage a single on target.
Scott McTominay(CM) – (7.5/10)(Manchester United): Came in into the second half and scored his third consecutive goals in three games. He looked lively and he is coming in his best.
Craig Dawson(CB) – (7/10)(West Ham United): He was terrific in this game and Dawson was absolutely solid in this game and he nullified almost every attack from Manchester United.
Andriy Yarmolenko(CF) – (5/10)(West Ham United): He was completely anonymous in the game and ultimately he had to come off for injury concern.
