Ole Gunnar Solskjær made only one change from the last game against Southampton as Fred had to sit out on the bench and Paul Pogba replaced him. Edinson Cavani led the line for Manchester United.
Carlo Ancelotti made three changes from the Leeds United game. James Rodriguez came in for Alex Iwobi and Tom Davis started in midfield for Gylfi Sigurdsson. The defender Michael Keane was on the starting Xl in place of Yerry Mina.

It was a slow start for the home side but as the game went on Manchester United became superior in the game. Solskjær’s boys had to wait until 24 minutes for the first goal.
Marcus Rashford provided a pinpoint cross from the right for Edinson Cavani and he made no mistake to convert it from the handshaking distance.
Everton got a chance from a defensive mistake from Victor Lindelof but unfortunately, Richarlison could not keep it on target.
United managed to extend the lead before the end of the first half, from outside the box Bruno Fernandes’ shot went straight into the back of the net. He continues to show his quality in the Old Trafford outfit.
Everton should have scored one back before the first half, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin puts it wide in a one on one opportunity.
In the second half, Everton came back brilliantly. In 3 minutes they scored back to back goals. David De Gea’s horrible mistake changed the mood of the game and Abdoulaye Doucoure scored the first goal.
On 52nd-minute mark Ancelotti’s boys equalised with a cross from Doucoure and excellently finished by James Rodriguez.
United managed to go-ahead in the game again and found the third goal from Luke Shaw’s free-kick and Scott McTominay headed it home keeper Robin Olsen should have done better.
But right before the final whistle, Everton found another equaliser from a free-kick and Calvert-Lewin earned one point for his team.

Edinson Cavani(CF) – (7.5/10)(Manchester United): Scored the opener with his head and worked extremely hard off the ball. He was excellent in this game.
David De Gea(GK) – (5/10)(Manchester United): Made a very bad mistake for the first goal and in the end, that mistake changed the game completely.
Manchester United will play next against West Ham United in the F.A Cup on Tuesday night and their next Premier League game is away to West Brom on 14th February.
