Manchester United are confident about signing young superstar from their Premier League rivals Arsenal. The star is also looked upon by German club but Red Devils have the upper hand in the race.
The star in question here is Arsenal academy star Ayden Heaven. Heaven is 18 years old and plays mainly as centre-back. But, he is also capable of playing as left-back if required. In addition, he is also capable of playing as box-to-box midfielder which makes him a key asset for the club.
Firstly, he used to play at West Ham academy where he spent 4 years before joining Gunners. Heaven has already made his first team debut for Arsenal this season. He came on as substitute in Carabao Cup clash against Preston.
Earlier, he was present as match day substitute in Premier League clash against Spurs. Heaven has also played for England under-18 team. He made his debut against Northern Ireland in May 2024.
Manchester United lead the race to sign Ayden Heaven
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta praised the player this season. The North London club are very happy with the player but can lose him very soon. They have offered him a new deal but the 18 year old seems to be joining their rivals Man United.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that United have lead in the race to sign Heaven. The 18 year old is also looked upon by Eintracht Frankfurt. However, the Red Devils are already in talks with the defender who was present at Old Trafford yesterday.
United have one of the best academy set-ups in England. It will be interesting to see if they include Heaven directly into the first team or keep him at academy level for little longer. Heaven can be a good addition to the Red Devils as he fits in the plans of new boss Rubem Amorim.
