Manchester United are all set to go against Liverpool for the signature of Luis Diaz? The Red Devils have reportedly added the Colombian Winger/ Midfielder in their long list of possible transfer targets. The Colombia international is currently enjoying a productive campaign with his club. He has scored 13 goals and provided 2 assists by making 20 appearances in all competitions.
He has generated a lot of Interest from several Foreign clubs which now includes Manchester United as well. The English Giants under Interim Manager Ralf Ragnick will be keen on making fresh signings during the 2022 Transfer window. One of the main problems for United this season is their lack of Quality in the Middle of the park.
They have struggled in the League due to their inconsistent Form. However, with Ragnick In-charge things at United might change for the betterment. Dennis Zakaria, Kalvin Phillips and Amadou Haidara have all been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Meanwhile, there is an inevitability about Diaz’s departure from Porto FC with several top European clubs are lining up a move. At present Manchester United deploy both Scott McTominay and Fred as holding midfielders. Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek keep rotating. Veteran playmaker Juan Mata has also remained an option from the bench.

Liverpool and Manchester City are also monitoring the situation of the Colombian. However, reports have suggested that Manchester Utd are set to step up their efforts to sign the 24-year-old. The Red Devils are reportedly lining up a bid of around £68million for the player.
Meanwhile, Porto have now cleared Diaz to leave the club as they look to profit from the Colombian’s sales after their early Champions League elimination. This looks to have given Diaz the green light to move on to a bigger club and Manchester United are in a strong position to land Luis Diaz.
New Interim manager Ralf Rangnick wants to strengthen his squad at Old Trafford. Diaz could be an important addition to the team’s attacking options. Both Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial’s futures are in serious doubt right now with Martial leaving the club in January 2022.
With the number of sales and exits that are going to take place at Old Trafford, Diaz could be brought in as a fresh face in the final third.
