United reveal their new home kit for 2024/25 season

The Red Devils have official revealed their new kit for the 2024/25 season. The photos have been published on official Manchester United website.

The new jersey contains two shades of red colour along with white stripes. It takes inspiration from Busby Babes in 1952. Sam Handy of Adidas said that the Red colour is consistently fundamental for United’s DNA. He added that there have been various expressions over the years but this time they wanted to do something different.

“We’ve drawn inspiration from a little known shirt from the 1952 tour, which is a fantastic early example of creative design in matchwear and was worn by some of the club’s most legendary players” – Sam Handy about United’s new home kit.

There had been various leaks of United’s new home kit over the days. However United had to wait until 1 July to release the new jersey. It was mainly due to the change in official sponsors. Snapdragon have taken over TeamViewer as the official sponsor of United. Snapdragon’s £60 million per year deal activated on 1st July. Hence, Red Devils had to wait for this long before officially releasing photos.

Last year United agreed a deal of £900 million with Adidas making them official kit manufacturers for ten years. The German manufactures didn’t disappoint as the new jersey looks very pleasant.

Teenagers become the centre of attraction

In the official photoshoot of new kit launch, United’s youngsters took the centre spot. Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo recreated their memorable photo from the 2023/24 season. United fans think that it was the best photo of 2023/24 season and surely there is little doubt in it.

Garnacho used to sit on the hoardings sometimes in an attempt to copy Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration. However in December West Ham defeated United by two goals. It was in London Stadium when Mohammed Kudus mocked United fans by sitting on the hoardings after scoring the second goal.

The two clubs met again after few months in a reverse Premier League fixture. This time it was Ten Hag who proved superior guiding Red Devils to a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford. Garnacho scored a goal and quickly sat on hordings to get his revenge. However this time he was not alone as Mainoo and Hojlund quickly joined him. The photo was quickly viral engaging in millions of interactions. This even provided United with a ray of hope as they were not having a good season.

United recreated the photo in the official photoshoot of new kit, reminding the fans about club’s future. All of the three youngsters featured in the FA Final and helped United win the title. Along with FA Cup, the victory also helped United earn a place in Europa League.

Ten Hag has been extremely proud of young guns. He said that the future of Manchester United is very bright as they have a lot of young players with high potential. The Dutch Manager too loved the celebration and said that the photo shows the unity of the club and that is how we want to play football.
