Manchester United Set for £92m Transfer Response

Manchester United seemingly have reacted quickly to their Europa League exit by planning a substantial £92 million signing this summer.

Cunha on the Radar as Manchester United Aim to Fix Attack

Manchester Utd had a painful end to their season with a 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the Europa League final. They are not wasting any time in the transfer market. The Red Devils won’t be playing European football next campaign. In addition, this is their worst-ever Premier League finish.

Now, Utd are focusing on rebuilding under Ruben Amorim. Wolves forward Matheus Cunha is among the club’s main targets, in this June window. He managed to net 15 league goals in the 2024-25 season.

At the start of the season he had signed a new deal with Wolves. He also has a £62.5 million release clause that United are ready to activate this June. The Brazilian striker is reportedly open to the move and is keen on joining Amorim’s project at Old Trafford. Nevertheless, other interest is coming from other English clubs, including Arsenal.

Amorim Sees Delap as Second Major Signing

Utd are also showing interest in Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap alongside Cunha this summer. He could become the second major signing in their £92 million plan. Delap’s side won’t be in the top tier next season. He now has a £30 million release clause in his contract. Although, Red Devils are eager to snap up the 21-year-old this June. However, their lack of European football might make it a bit harder to close the deal.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Delap’s situation. Still, manager Ruben Amorim remains confident that Utd’s pull in the market is strong enough to land top talent. The club knows that fixing the attack is a top priority if they want to bounce back next campaign. So, they’re wasting no time making their actions clear.
