Manchester United leading the race for Cunha this summer
Manchester United are almost done with the signing of Wolves player Matheus Cunha. They have made a great contract offer to him. As per reports by CaughtOffside, the Red Devils are close to a verbal agreement with the Wolves’ forward. Additionally, he is excited by the chance of moving to Old Trafford.
The 25 year-old Brazilian has links with Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest as well. But, the financial deal being offered to him is very generous. As a result, Utd seems to have a great chance to sign him.
Utd’s quick action seems like they would be the favourite. Arsenal also have several other forward options lined up. That may have slowed down their approach and gave Utd a key advantage.
Cunha Could Be Amorim’s First Summer Signing
If things continue to progress smoothly, the Brazilian could become Manchester Utd’s first signing under new boss Ruben Amorim. Cunha’s ability to link play makes him a great addition. Although, he’s not the type of player to bag 25+ goals a season. United will still be hunting for a true goal-scoring No. 9 to lead the line.
