Manchester United vs PSG: Preview, Team News, and Predicted Line-ups

Group H of the UEFA Champions League, the group of death, has Manchester United face PSG in the penultimate fixture on Wednesday at Old Trafford.

Manchester United already picked up the 3 away points after beating PSG in their own backyard. The game ended 2-1 with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scoring for Manchester United and Martial scoring an own-goal.

The Red Devils sit in 1st position with 9 points while PSG and RB Leipzig both have 6 points. If Manchester United win against PSG they will book their spot in the Round of 16.

PSG and RB Leipzig both are in danger of finishing 3rd and entering the Europa League. This is quite shocking considering PSG were the finalists and RB Leipzig were the semi-finalists in last season’s UCL.

Manchester United vs PSG Team News:

United midfielder and World Cup winner Paul Pogba is expected to return from his ankle injury for the fixture against PSG. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made no concrete comments on his return yet.

English giants are without Luke Shaw and Axel Tuanzebe after the former picked up an injury and the latter got suspended after picking up a yellow against Istanbul Basaksehir. David De Gea, Alex Telles, and Anthony Martial are among the doubtful for the fixture as well.

The air of doubt regarding Anthony Martial’s fitness might mean Edinson Cavani will get into the starting XI against his old team PSG. El Matador will definitely try to score against his old employers.

PSG also announced their travelling squad for the away fixture at Old Trafford. Mauro Icardi, Pablo Sarabia, Julian Draxler, and Juan Bernat are among the names missing from the list.

Manchester United Predicted Line-up:

PSG Predicted Line-up:

PSG and Manchester United both have struggled at times this season. However, The Red Devils have been highly consistent in the UCL this season with their only loss being an upset away at Istanbul Basaksehir.

If PSG lose this match they are in danger of dropping down to the Europa League.

Prediction: Manchester United 2 – 1 PSG
