Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca reveals real reason behind droppin Jadon Sancho. Sancho who has been really good since joining Blues has missed the last two games.
Sancho joined Chelsea this summer on loan from Manchester United. The deal includes an obligation to buy next year with Blues set to pay £25 million to Red Devils.
Sancho had an argument with recently sacked United boss Ten Hag last year. That saw him not getting playing time last year and eventually joining Dortmund on loan. This summer United wanted to sell him but were unable to do so. Hence, they sent him on loan which was for best interest of all parties involved.
Sancho had a change in fortune since joining Chelsea. He has been very impressive and performed well regularly. United loanne has picked 3 assists in just 5 Premier League matches and shown his worth.
But, Sancho has missed the last two games for Chelsea. He was being replaced by Pedro Neto who too was able to pick an assist against Newcastle United. Maresca was asked about dropping Sancho, too which the Chelsea boss gave honest reply.
Maresca opens up about dropping Sancho
Firstly, Maresca said that Sancho is doing really well at the moment. He praised the player before stating that it was tactical decision to drop him for the last two games.
“Jadon is doing well since he arrived. Players can’t maintain the same level all season because of huge amount of games. Last two he didn’t play foe tactical decisions. No more than that. He’s going to play many games, he has to continue to work hard” – Chelsea boss about dropping Sancho.
This shows that Chelsea boss still trust Jadon Sancho. But he has to keep doing well in order to keep hold of his place as regular starter. Otherwise, Chelsea have many options who are eager to show their worth and snatch his place. Maresca’s comments are as stated as by Chelsea News.
