Enzo Maresca started Fernandez against his former club Leicester City. The Argentine was able to claim the starting place back from Lavia and did the most of the opportunity.
Fernandez was able to assist Jackson who opened the scoring for Chelsea. Later in the second half the 23 year old scored himself to double the lead. Fernandez was then voted the player of the match for this amazing performance.
After the match, Maresca was asked his thoughts about Fernandez. The Italian revealed what he has in his mind planned for Fernandez. He revealed his plans about how he wants the Argentine to operate.
Enzo Maresca wants to transfor Fernandez
Enzo Maresca said that he has a new plan for the 23 year old. He added that it is the same plan he tried out last year with two Leicester City players.
Firstly, the Italian said that he thought this was the right time to start Enzo Fernandez. He added that the player did arrive late from international duty but he did very well.
“I’m trying to convince Enzo in the same way as I did last year with Ndidi and Kiernan, that attacking midfielders need to arrive in the box” – Maresca about what Enzo needs to do as reported by TNT Sports.

Maresca wants to make Enzo Fernandez difference make. He did the same with Wilfred Ndidi and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall last season. Ndidi was able to register 6 goals and 6 assists last season whereas Dewsbury-Hall recorded 12 goals and 15 assists.
Fernandez has 1 goal and 6 assists this season and is very important player of the squad. But, he will demand regular game time or otherwise consider a move away from the club very soon.
