Martin Odegaard recently talked about his possible return to Arsenal playing XI. The 25-year-old is out due to injury. He twisted his ankle while playing for Norway in the international break. Since then, the midfielder has gone on to miss key games for the Gunners. He did not participate in the North London derby against Tottenham. Then, he also missed out on the opening UCL game against Atalanta. To make matters worse, he was also out in the crucial Man City game. The Gunners were able to only win 1 of those three games. Fans are keenly waiting to see their captain back in action for the London Reds.

He adds that he is makin progress daily and is feeling more-and-more positive about his return. The midfielder aims to get back as soon as possible. As per independent, Martin Odegaard also believes that he got lucky. Given the situation he was in, it could have been a very serious situation. Mikel Arteta will be hoping to see him back on-the-field as early as possible.

Gunners keep marching on

Arsenal did do well in their captain’s absence. But, we could see them missing him on-the-field. While they were unbeaten in their previous 3 games, they still lacked creativity up front. The 25-year-old could have surely made some difference in the matches. Perhaps if Martin Odegaard would start, their would have been a solid chance that they would have won at least 2 out of their 3 games. As it stands, he will try his best to return to top fitness levels. Meanwhile, Norway will be hoping to see him back before the next international break. At the same time, the 25-year-old will have to keep in mind to not rush things. He needs to make a good recovery. Another quick injury could quickly derail plans.
