According to journalist Daniel Riolo, FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi will join the Ligue 1 leaders, PSG on a free transfer this summer. Brazilian superstar Neymar also made the statement this week on playing with Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.

At the end of last season, the Argentine made a desire to leave the club after the brutal 8-2 humiliation by Bayern Munich during the Champions League lash, along with the other presidential drama surrounding the club. Since then various rumors have been floating around his future at Barcelona.

He was linked to reunite with his former manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, but they somehow failed to prise Barcelona’s captain cool because of his €700 million release clause.

The 33-year-old, then, made a decision to stay at Barcelona without entwining the club and himself inside the courtroom.

Nevertheless, his contract deal at Camp Nou expires after six months. Which means that the six-time Ballon d’Or winner can explore other clubs at the end of the season, unless and until he wishes to negotiate another deal.

With Pep Guardiola and his men already trying to link Messi, PSG have also stepped into the coliseum as flair suitors for the him.

Barcelona want PSG target Messi gone to ease the financial burden:

In a recent radio interview at RAC1, the club’s acting president Carlos Tusquets yearned to sell Messi due to his earlier wish to leave the club.

He also mentioned they would have released the Argentine in summer in order to ease the financial status at the club.

However, now having given his everything to Catalonia and most of the time being blamed for always being the problem at the club, it seems that Messi is likely to leave the Catalan giants in the dust.
