Arsenal’s out of favor midfielder Mesut Ozil’s future is still uncertain but certain to leave Emirates this month. Manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that Ozil can leave Arsenal if they receive a suitable offer that meets their requirements.
Ozil spent most of the time out of the ground as Arteta refused to pick him up in the squad. Despite going through a poor form in this season Arteta kept the German midfielder out of his plan.
The world cup winner midfielder is very disappointed with the treatments he is receiving in the North London club. After Wenger’s departure, Ozil hasn’t been the same. Ozil struggled under Unai Emery and now he is left out of Arteta’s plan.
Interested Clubs to sign Arsenal’ Ozil:
According to some reports Ozil was offered to Juventus first but they are building a young team so they rejected to sign the 32-year-old midfielder. Now former Real Madrid ace has been linked with several clubs, including Fenerbahce and D.C. United.
Although Arteta said he will welcome a good offer to offload the midfielder as he wanted to add more power to his midfield area.
Arteta’s Comments on Ozil:
Speaking at the pre-match conference ahead of Arsenal’s FA cup clash against Newcastle United Arteta said of Ozil,
“If something is sorted this month it is because it is good for both parties – for Mesut and his future and good for the club. If that is the case we will move forward, if it is not the case then he will continue here.”
On the decision of leaving him out of squad the Gunner’s boss stated,
“Yes, the decision has to be made when you have to register and not register players, play them or not play them all the time. We know we have a really important player that is one of the key players in the past few seasons for this football club.
We had to make a decision, I made it, I knew the consequences of it and now are going to have to make another one in January and we will put in the balance what is good for the club, the best thing for the team and what the intension of the player are and try and find the right solutions.”– Arteta on Mesut Ozil
In January it is possible for the EPL clubs to update their 25 man squad. So either Ozil will leave if Arsenal gets a good offer or he will be enlisted in their squad as Arsenal really needs a change to save their disastrous season.
