Milan and Juventus to go head-to-head for Serie A star

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

AC Milan and Juventus have entered the race to sign the on-loan Sassuolo star forward Gianluca Scamacca in the upcoming summer transfer window. Scamacca is currently on loan at Genoa until the end of the season.

Scamacca has made 21 appearances for Genoa this season and managed to score five goals and two assists. He showed his quality in his last game against the Bianconeri. The striker marked the game with a consolation goal in a 3-1 defeat.

The 22-years-old forward is a product of Roma youth academy. He joined Sassuolo on 29 October, at age of 18. Scamacca made his Serie A debut in a 3–1 loss against Napoli. Since then the U21 Italian International has been loaned out to Cremonese, PEC Zwolle, and Ascoli.

Juventus or Milan who will win the race for Scamacca?

Gianluca Scamacca has been a transfer target for Juventus for some time now. The Bianconeri were keen to sign him in the winter transfer window, but they couldn’t agree on the transfer fee with Sassuolo. With Alvaro Morata moving back to Atletico Madrid at the end of his loan, Juve might want to sign Scamacca.

According to reports, Milan and Juventus both are looking to sign a striker in the summer. Milan have two strikers over 34-year-old. So, the Rossoneri are looking to sign a striker for the future, the highly-rated 22-year-old forward will be a perfect backup for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, Sassuolo haven’t disclosed the asking price for their star asset. Scamacca has €8 million market value, so, if Milan or Juventus come knocking on the door of Sassuolo for him they might ask around €10-20 million in this summer.

It will be an exciting tug of war between Milan and Juventus this summer. Juventus are looking to rebuild their squad in the summer. On the other hand, Milan are trying to buy young talented players in the squad for the future.
