AC Milan are reportedly looking to sell their out of favour winger Samu Castillejo and Russian side CSKA Moscow are showing interest in signing the former Villarreal man, as per the report in Italian outlet Milan News.
The 26-year-old joined the Rossoneri back in 2018 from Villarreal for around €25 million. The Spaniard was thought to be one of the best young talents in La Liga, however, the winger has gone completely under the boil since making the switch to Serie A.
According to Milan News, CSKA Moscow are showing active interest in signing the Milan winger Samu Castillejo. The deal hasn’t progressed yet, however, the Russian side have made contact with Stefano Pioli’s side regarding a potential transfer. The transfer market is still open for the Premier Liga and it will close on 7th September.
Another Italian outlet Calciomercato have also echoed the news and added that Koni want to sign the 26-year-old on an initial loan move with an option to buy but the Rossoneri want an obligation to buy for around €8-10 million.

Offloading Castillejo will be a very good decision from Milan. After failing to showcase his talent at San Siro stadium, Castillejo has gone completely out of favour under Stefano Pioli. So, cashing in on the player who is not in the manager’s plan will be the right outcome for Rossoneri.
Milan are looking to sign a young group of players who will develop at the San Siro stadium. With the inclusion of young talents, the Rossoneri board have also signed few experienced campaigners who will help the youngsters to develop.
Meanwhile, after two victories in a row in the opening two games of the season, Milan are currently full of confidence ahead of a big clash against Lazio next Sunday. The Biancocelesti have looked really good under the new manager Maurizio Sarri and it will be interesting to see who will continue their winning run after this fixture.
