Milan ready to sign Paraguayan youngster Hugo Cuenca confirms agent

The agent of CD Capiata youngster Hugo Cuenca has confirmed that his client is closing in on a move to Serie A giants AC Milan in this summer transfer window.

The 16-year-old is a midfielder who can play in the attacking midfield position as well as from the deep. The Paraguayan has represented in U15 and U16 levels for his country. The midfielder has an excellent left foot and is excellent with the ball.

The 6 ft youngster can dribble past the challenges and play threading passes between the lines. However, he will be a player for the future as he does not have much experience in senior football and he will need time to get used to with the physicality of senior football and the level of the Italian league.

The agent confirmed that Milan closing in on a deal for Cuenca:

Speaking on a media outlet Radio Versus, the agent of Cuenca Renato Bittar has confirmed that they are finalizing the paperwork with Milan for this deal and everything is going well regarding this transfer. “We are finalizing the paperwork, everything is going well on track,” Bittar said.

The Italian outlet Calciomercato has reported last week that Milan have agreed on a €500,000 fee for Cuenca plus a 10% future sell-on fee with Deportivo Capiata. The Rossoneri are utilising their scouts to find young prospects as they are looking after their present and future simultaneously.

The Paraguayan will initially join the Rossoneri’s youth system and then he will be gradually infused with the first-team squad. The youngster is extremely talented and joining a club like Milan is a great opportunity for Cuenca. Therefore, he has to showcase his talent in Europe to secure his place in the first eleven.

Milan have signed quite a few talented youngsters over the past couple of campaigns. Everyone was not a success for the Serie A giants but it shows the intent of the club to look after their future. Having achieved the Champions League spot after quite a while, they will be looking to keep hold of that position to regain their perch in the coming years. So, it is looking like a very bright future ahead for the seven times Champions League winners.
