Manchester United have once again added Moise Kean to their summer transfer targets list after getting rejected in the past.
Moise Kean Back on United’s Radar After Impressive Fiorentina Form
Manchester United are showing fresh interest in Fiorentina striker Moise Kean. The Red Devils have already failed to bring him in as a teenager. Back in 2014, Utd nearly signed a young Kean from Juventus. But, his father blocked the move, preferring that he stayed in Italy.
Fast forward to now, Utd are again eyeing the 25-year-old after his breakout season with La Viola. Kean has rediscovered his scoring touch this campaign. He has bagged 17 goals in 30 Serie A games, and 23 in all competitions this season. This turnaround comes after a poor second spell at Juventus.
The Italian striker is believed to have a £42.5 million release clause that can be activated in early July. Amorim sees him as a serious upgrade up front, alongside names like Victor Osimhen, Liam Delap, and Viktor Gyokeres.
A PL Return for the Italian striker ?
This transfer story is more interesting because Moise Kean once reportedly rejected a move to Liverpool as well. That past decision could add a twist if Manchester Utd decide to go all in for him. He did have a short spell in the Premier League with Everton in 2019. But, he only managed four goals in 39 appearances.
This time, things could be different, with the attacker now more mature and in top form. United, under the INEOS project and Amorim’s leadership, are eager to rebuild. Especially, up front as Rasmus Hojlund has so far failed to deliver.
Meanwhile, Kean may not be the only name on the list. He’s one of the most realistic options, especially if Fiorentina are willing to cash in. With United’s long-standing chase, this could be a second chance for him to make a mark in England.
