Mourinho looking to reunite with Ndombele at Roma

mourinho wants to sign ndombele

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to reunite with the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele as per the report in Italian outlet Calciomercato

Spurs signed the 24-years-old back in 2019 for around €60 million and made him the club’s most expensive transfer ever. However, the move hasn’t gone according to the plans for the north Londoners. The midfielder has found it difficult to cope with the high-intensity nature of the Premier League and also struggled with the injuries at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

According to the report, despite having a good start to the season, two defeats in three games have shown the frailties at Roma midfield. Mourinho is eyeing a player with very good athleticism and Spurs midfielder Ndombele is among the targets for the Portuguese manager.

The 24-years-old still has four years remaining in his current contract with the north London club and it will be difficult for the Giallorossi hierarchy to persuade Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sell the Frenchman for cheap.

Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with Ndombele:

Ndombele will be a very good addition to the system of Jose Mourinho. The player enjoyed his best spell so far in the Premier League under the legendary Portuguese manager and reuniting with the former boss could be a tempting prospect for the Frenchman.

Having struggled to showcase his talent in English football, Serie A could be a perfect destination for the 24-years-old to rejuvenate his career. In terms of the player’s ability, he has excellent control on the ball and also can find threading passes between the lines.

Meanwhile, following a terrific start to the season, Roma hit a stumbling block last week. After suffering the first defeat against Hellas Verona, the Giallorossi endured yet another defeat against the arch-rival Lazio. Mourinho will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the next game in Europa League on Thursday.
