Mumbai City FC lock horns against SC East Bengal today at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim in the Indian Super League fixture. The Kolkata based team look to open their account in this season’s ISL after losing to ATK Mohun Bagan in their opening fixture. But they showed tremendous courage and fighting spirit in their 0-2 defeat last week.
Mumbai City also endured a tough start to the season. They lost their first game against NorthEast United (0-1) and edged past FC Goa with a narrow 1-0 win. They have been far from impressive in both of their games. So they are the underdogs heading into the game.

The Red and Golds look to break down Mumbai’s defence by their possession-based game. It worked to a little extent against a very strong ATKMB side. But once East Bengal find the rhythm in their game, they will be hard to stop.
On the other hand, Mumbai snatched the win versus Goa via a controversial late penalty. Goa coach showed his grievance in the post-match press conference by criticizing the referring.
The Islanders were very dull and toothless in both their games which concerns coach Sergio Lobera, an admirer of attacking football. They need to be at the top of their game to take home something from the game.

Lobera is also tipped to start with the same team with Adam le Fondre leading the line. He scored his first goal from the penalty spot against FC Goa. Japanese Cy Goddard will certainly start after putting in an impressive performance against Goa.
