Napoli are working hard to hijack Chelsea’s plans by signing their top target for this month. They may submit a bid soon as there has been a new opening at the club.
Napoli have parted ways with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The 23 year old has joined PSG for €70 million. He is in Paris today undergoing medical tests. This has opened a position at Napoli for left winger.
The Azzurri are keen to replace Kvaratskhelia this month itself and already have one target in sights. However, the same player is being looked upon by Chelsea but the Italian giants can have an upper hand in the deal.
Napoli plotting a move for Chelsea target
The star on Chelsea’s radar is Spanish talent Yeremay Hernandez. The Blues have already made an approach to sign the 22 year old. They were recently reported to have made another option as they want to replace exit linked Mudryk and Nkunku.
Hernandez plays on the left flank either as a midfielder or a winger. He has been in superb form this season in La Liga 2. He has scored 8 goals and picked 3 assists in 18 games so far. The 22 year old is now open for a move to bigger club.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Napoli hace joined the race to sign Yeremay Hernandez. He plays in the same area as Kvaratskhelia and can be a decent replacement in the middle of the season.
The Azzurri may have lead over the Blues in landing Hernandez. The 22 year old prefers to join the club where he can play regularly. He is very unlikely to achieve this at West London. In addition, Chelsea are unwilling to pay his release clause.
Hernandez has €20 million release clause in his current contract. Napoli can easily trigger it as they have now received far more from the sale of Kvaratskhelia. It will be easy for them to convince the 22 year old to join them this month.
