Napoli in race for key Morocco man

Napoli have joined Barcelona in the race for key Morocco man Azzedine Ounahi. The 22-year-old showed glimpses of brilliance in the middle of the park for the Morocco side in Qatar.

Nimble footing, good balance on the ball, and brilliant spatial awareness put him on the cards of the likes of FC Barcelona. The Blaugranas look to strengthen their midfield following recent lapses and looked at the youngster as their low-cost option.

Fabrizio Romano reported that Napoli have made their move to try and sign Ounahi from Angers.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Serie A leaders have made €15 million offers for the Moroccan. The deal construction allows him to stay at his current club Anger before a summer move to Italy next summer.

With Barcelona’s current financial situation barring some huge departure, they will not be able to make the transfer go through.

Talks are ongoing between the two clubs while a decision by the player is being awaited.
