Napoli have taken lead in the race to sign one Chelsea star. The star is already been looked upon by two Italian clubs out of which one recently made an initial offer too.
The star in question is 21 year old Cesare Casadei. Casadei joined Chelsea in 2022 from Inter Milan. However, he has not been able to earn his spot as a regular starter. He has played only 6 games and yet feature in Premier League this season.
Casadei is very heavily linked with exit this month and Italy is very likely to be his next destination. Firstly, he was linked to Torino who even made an initial offer of £10 million. But, it was quickly rejected by Chelsea who want atleast £15 million.
Later, Lazio were reported to have joined the race. The player is open to return to Italy as he prefers to play regularly. Now, Serie A table toppers have joined the race and are also reported to be leading the race to land the 21 year old.

Napoli are doing extremely well under Antonio Conte. They were hit by the departure of Victor Osimhen in summer but it has not affected them. They are sitting on the top position of Serie A table with 44 points in 19 games.
Napoli are keen to improve their squad even further. They have already completed their first deal of the January window. They signed Scuffet from Cagliari on loan. Now, they are keen to improve their midfield.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Azzurri are leading the race for Cesare Casadei. He added that the Italian club has good relations with Chelsea. Lastly, Di Marzio reported that Cristian Stellini who is assistant to Conte appreciated Casadei very much and loves his quality on the pitch.
Antonio Conte has managed Chelsea in his career where he helped them to secure the Premier League title and FA Cup title. His relation with his former club can help him to land Casadei this month.
