Arsenal have shown interest in signing Real Madrid gem Arda Guler. This will surely prove very hard for Gunners due to the Madrid’s affection, but here are the new and key updates about the situation.
Gunners have felt a need to improve attack due to the injuries this season. They have not looked the same without Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard. Both of these players were out injured and in that time Mikel Arteta dropped some crucial points.
Arsenal have also lacked goals this season. They are very highly dependent on Saka and Havertz for goals. Other than those two, none of the attackers have been able to perform regularly.
Arsenal keen to sign Arda Guler
Due to the attacking crises, Gunners needed to monitor players across whole Europe. They have been able to set their eyes on Arda Guler who may be available in January.
As per The Independent, Guler is unhappy at Madrid due to lack of game time. The 19 year old has found himself on bench multiple times this season due to the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. He is too good to sit on bench.
Madrid view Guler as their future star and are not ready to part ways with him at all costs. But, they may be able to let the player join other clubs on loan. This may be very useful for the player as he needs to play regularly at this age to improve.
Madrid may even allow the player to leave permanently but include a buy-back clause in his contract. They have already done the same with Argentine attacker Nico Paz who joined Serie A side Como this summer.
Arsenal have already benefitted from a similar deal for Real Madrid outcast. They signed Martin Odegaard on loan who then became their permanent player. Odegaard is now the club captain and arguably the best Arsenal player currently in the squad.
