Neymar to sign a new contract if Messi arrives at PSG

Neymar Junior, one of the expensive and talented players at PSG has hinted to play alongside Lionel Messi next season. Messi is recently linked with a PSG move, with just 7 months left on his contract at Barcelona.

Neymar left FC Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 being the most expensive player to date for €222 million. The iconic trio of MSN(Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar) was hence shortened to MS and now, only Messi remains at Barcelona.

Messi is also tipped to leave next summer after Suarez was forced off at Camp Nou in the recent summer transfer window.

Neymar is also tipped to return to La Liga but PSG management expecting him to extend his stay in the French capital with a new contract. Singing Messi will be enough for them to hold on to their superstar for many more years to come.

Messi-Neymar Reunion at PSG Interests PSG President:

Neymar has been a key player for The Parisians scoring 50 goals in just 58 matches.

The 28-year old forward even scored a double against Manchester United in the Champions League. The likes of him and Kylian Mbappe had eventually helped PSG reach the final of last season’s Champions League.

What Neymar wants the most is to play alongside his 33-year old buddy, Messi. Asked about him playing alongside Messi, he said,

“He (Messi) can play in my place, I have no problem with that! But I want to play with him next year, for sure. We have to do it next season.”

Asked about this issue, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi said that he won’t mind signing Messi. He even said that his club is capable of doing many unthinkable things, such as buying Mbappe and Neymar.

“It would be idiotic and a little unprofessional to not think or work on a player that is free next summer and has one of his best friends at the club. “

“Getting Neymar and Messi back in the same team, even if it’s just for two years, would be incredible.”

Neymar taking a U-turn maybe

Also, there are other possibilities like Messi leaving and opting for Chelsea or Manchester City or maybe, a possible return of Neymar back to FC Barcelona.

However, PSG officials are maintaining silence on this topic. Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman, current Barca coach doesn’t seem interested in Messi leaving the club.

“I don’t like to talk about individual cases, but as a culé you want to see the best in your team. As a club you have to try to have the best players here.”

– Ronald Koeman
